    Youtube resolution issues


    I'm having issues with resolution, rendering and pixelation on my YouTube app for xbox one. The main issue is that the videos are not the best of quality on my xbox one, even though they are listed as HD. I know for sure that it's not the video it's self
    because, I can watch the very same video in my phone with no issues but, when I try to watch the same video on xbox youtube app the quality takes a huge hit. What is labeled "HD" on my xbox ends up being 600x400 but, plays just fine on my phone or PC.

    As a loyal Xbox consumer, I have noticed a recent downfall in the system in the past few years. Now does that apply to me? No it doesn't, but there is one problem that really is so simple yet has not been done yet. Higher YouTube resolutions. This is something
    that has been done by PlayStation since launch. They used this in the system setting if I'm correct, (correct me if I'm wrong) they let the consumer change the gen resolution through the console settings, and that isn't not an option so on Xbox one. I have
    170 mb/s upload and download 250mb/s, so that couldn't be the problem. Higher YouTube resolutions, so simple but makes a huge difference in the quality of Xbox One. Thank you.

    This is a Google issue, there are limitations to both the YouTube and YouTube TV apps including resolution caps on some content.

    Same issue, everything looks great on PS5 YouTube TV, but horrible on Xbox Series X. Moved off Auto detect on screen resolution, set to 720p on sports NFL broadcast on local channels, changed it to 1080p on a single channel, now it goes to highest resolution available per channel. I think auto detect is broken in YouTube TV app, most sports we maybe 480p.

    MGS Ground Zeroes 720p on Xbone confirmed

    The resolution's the same but the framerate is better. Not that you'd see it on youtube which is capped at 30fps
