    Youtube Overscan Issue on Xbox One


    Ok looked around on the forum and could not find an answer that would work with what I have. So Youtube videos badly overscan on my system, This is the ONLY thing that overscans on my system. Is there a solution that does not involve me having to change
    my TV settings? And if this is the only solutions why do I have to change my settings for one app? I wish I would quit running into to these nagging little issue with the Xbox One, it just keeps me from being able to enjoy the system. Everything is 16:9 and
    1080P all HDMI, If there is not solution please let me know also. Thanks

    Overscan issue

    Got a Panasonic plasma and usually have it set to use overscan for SD material, and overscan off for HD shows. The TV sets this correctly using the HDMI 1 input. But now I have my Sky HD box going through the console, I can't set overscan separately for
    HD and SD and it causes some SD shows to not quite fill the screen and have flicker at the edges.

    Has anyone found a workaround for this? Thanks.

    Hey there, this sounds like an overscan issue. The console itself is not capable of adjusting this. Overscan will be dependent on the TV in use. It sounds like you have checked the menus on the TV for overscan options, and were unsuccessful. In this case,
    we would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the TV for further assistance in this area.

    Hi Shelby! Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's see what we can do about that here.

    What exactly is your Xbox console model?
    Does your console dashboard and other stuff in it look fine on your display without overscanning?
    Does the issue only happen to YouTube app?

    For our basic troubleshooting steps, try to reinstall the YouTube app itself.

    Check this settings as well:
    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings.
    Under General, select TV & display options.
    Video fidelity and overscan.
    Overrides > Select HDMI.

    OK again, you're having an overscan issue

    1. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.
    2. Select Video fidelity & overscan then overscan on the right
    You have two options, DVI and HDMI compensation. Other than that there are no adjustments on the Xbox.

    Should i turn off the overscan option in the video settings on the Xbox one because there is a app that some stuff that i cant see on the app when overscan is enabled. I disable it I can see the entire screen but they recommend you to leave it enabled
    so do i disable it or no?
    I recommend turning it off. Overscan is mainly used for bigger TVs like 45"(ish)+

    On my Xbox, I have overscan turned off and everything is fine.

    SPDIF Optical Audio Cord not working.

    Having taken a good look around there doesn't actually appear to be a solution as the Vizio just doesn't have the options to correctly disable overscan. Sorry but it's either a case of live with the overscan using HDMI, use the DVI option on the Xbox and
    use the optical audio cable connected to an external audio device or purchase a newer tv that will cope better with the Xbox One's lack of any settings regarding overscan.
