Youtube opening randomly

I have a strange issue that so far has happened to me twice. Last night in the middle of using netflix youtube just opened up. My controller was off and I was alone and wasn't talking to myself so I don't see how the kinect could have been confused. Today
I was using the blu ray player when again youtube opened up and again the controller was off and no noise was being made to confuse the kinect (other than the tv). Is there an xbox ghost or something technical going on here? Hopefully the technical thing.

Youtube App not opening

My Youtube app ALWAYS crashes while searching for videos. Never fails. Even clearing the cache does not help nor does reinstalling the app. Pathetic.

someone could be connecting to your youtube on your xbox one through wifi go to the youtube app then go to settings and there should be something like paired devices and there should be one or more there look and see which ones arent yours and hit clear
paired devices. I have not figured out how to prevent ppl from connecting to it becuase if your live in an apartment ppl next door could connect to your xbox

Hello ChillixYT, try to I don't know if you have a regular or new-generation Xbox, or if you've already performed a procedure on your console, if you haven't already, follow the procedures below.

First uninstall the Youtube App, then remove any game or App you might have in quick resume.

After this, do a cache clean up.

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

Only on YouTube. Randomly when watching videos. Black screen for a while, and the booting screen shows up.

I have two XBOXs, both have the same problem...hard locks randomly while using the youtube app.

The problem started right after the latest version of the youtube app came out. The lockup did not start ultil the youtube update and does not occur when not using youtube.
