Youtube launches and or switches to itself in the middle of both games and other apps.

A lot of people are having this issue, it won't launch from the Xbox (Beta) app, but it launches perfectly fine from both the Xbox Console Companion app, and from the Start menu itself. It's an extra step needed to launch the game, but that should help
you get into the game until they resolve the issue with the app.

If other video applications work fine (also try accessing YouTube through the Edge Browser), then it's an issue with the YouTube App itself, and you will need to contact the YouTube support for that, as they are responsible for how their app works.

Microsoft only provides the Marketplace to download the app on the console.

This is happening to a few of us on reddit. Its switching between youtube and other apps from gaming when the console randomly shuts down. Booting back up everything is fine but then it will randomly do it again when switching apps. Its something on microsofts
end it seems.

I appreciate the response and unfortunately neither of those fixed the issue. I was just playing Rocket League with a disc in the drive for a different game I was installing over night and in the middle of game of Rocket League it just launched the other
game. I now thing the issue is with the disc drive itself.

Mine has been doing this as well. I'll launch Netflix and it powers off completely. I'll launch Upload Studio and it does the same thing. There's no consistency when it does it (although it's usually at least once every day or two - especially if I'm switching
apps a lot.) I wasn't sure if this was a general launch software issue or if this is something I should get an exchange for. I'm starting to think the latter and that a patch won't fix this. Other than that, it runs perfectly fine. Thankfully it hasn't ever
powered off during the middle of a game or movie though.
