YouTube app will not load, tried everything. Contacted support and it still does not work.

Did a hard reset, account log out, contacted google about possible software glitch, had a few discussions with xbox support but follow up emails were never replied to. Still tries to load but never does. No error codes, just won't work. Only having this
issue on xbox one. Please help!!!!

YouTube app does not load

Hey Miss Diggz,

Yes I've tried all of the above. Also, I've contacted Xbox support via chat and the support representative advised me to do some other troubleshooting steps. However, none of them solved the problem, the YouTube app doesn't start. One day it worked perfectly,
the other it didn't.

Every other app and game works perfectly. Also, my network is good and stable, I've checked it and also connected my console to another network, both wired and wireless. So that can't be the problem.

YouTube app does not load

Hey there dreampage and Pyro!

I'm sorry to hear about the YouTube app isn't loading properly on your Xbox One console. I have a question to run past you both to try and narrow down the situation.

Have you tried any other apps or video apps? Are you experiencing the same type of loading issue with those other apps?

Also, I see you both said you tried a few troubleshooting steps to try and resolve what you're experiencing, but I suggest giving these next steps a shot, as I added a few more in there to try in a specific order.

Uninstall the YouTube app.

Power cycle your Xbox One console.

Once the console is off completely, unplug all cords from your console.

Leave everything unplugged for a few minutes.

Plug your console and cords back in and turn it on.

Check your Network Connection. (Settings > Network > Test Network Connection)

Reinstall the YouTube app again and try using it again.

Please post back and let me know the answer to the question above and if, by chance, the steps worked for you or not. Thanks!

Hey there, wP Messor! This is a really odd one here. I saw that you've uninstalled and reinstalled the application itself. I'd like you to try it once more, but in a specific order.

Uninstall the application once more

Please hold the power button for about 10 seconds until it shuts off

Boot the console back up

Install the application again

If doing it in that specific way does not help you, the last suggestion I have is to factory reset your console. It's a bit extreme, I know. With everything you've done, though, I feel like this is the last thing that we can do.

Please post back your results! We'll be waiting to see how it all works out.

Hi mate i have the same problem none of my apps connect to the internet 4od, bbc iplayer, NOW tv all say something stupid like "oops sorry we cant seem to connect" its really annoying me i have also tried "hard reboot, app reinstall and router reset im
not resorting to factory reset because forza 5 takes enternities to donwload and i bet it wont even work its a softwae glitch must be XBOX UPDATE YOUR SHAMBLES OF A SOFTWARE STOP IGNORING THE PEOPLE FUNDING YOUR CONSOLE

I know that you said you've tried all of these steps, but sometimes the order is important. Try uninstalling, holding the Xbox logo on your console until it powers
down, unplugging the power cable from the console for 2 minutes (at least, longer won't hurt), rebooting, and then reinstalling the app.

I have had this happen a few times, (in addition to Youtube spontaneously starting while I was watching TV). It can be extremely frustrating as it seems to either happen all the time or too unpredictably to recognize any sort of pattern. I haven't really
found a "solution" per se... But in my own particular case, I have seemed to narrow it down (after ruling out the power cycle/hard boot/reinstall etc routine). Here's what I have... Maybe it will help.

Seemed to only occur when:

1) I was connected to XBOX Live via my WIFI network (which allows Youtube as well as the Xbox dashboard to be controlled with a mobile device/tablet).

2) While I had XBOX ONE SMART GLASS enabled in the Settings >> Preferences menu.

3) I had the XboxOne YouTube app PAIRED with my mobile device so that I was able to search for videos on my phone and play them on the TV. (Similar to the "Youtube Remote" mobile app)

Or all of the above.

The minute that I removed Youtube pairing with my mobile device and made an effort to turn off smart glass whenever I was not actively using the app, all of my major issues with YouTube on the XB1 suddenly stopped, aside from the occasional crash. I believe
it's related to the ability to control/pair Youtube via mobile device (which I would assume is in-turn related to having multi-device control over your Xbox dash and apps via connecting to the same Wi-Fi network).

Be advised: I'm no tech support guru or any type of expert in any sense of the word, so the best I can offer is what I experienced and worked for me. Hopefully it leads you in a direction that will provide your own solution. Either that or my nonsensical
ramblings will cause you further frustration and result in a sledgehammer being taken to all electronics within a 100ft radius (though I would advise against it) HAHA! If I draw any further conclusions on the issue, I'll be sure to post an update, otherwise
