    YouTube App on Xbox One screen glitches


    The YouTube App on the X1 continues to have random screen glitches, but only on certain videos for some reason. The screen will go grey, green, or magenta, randomly while watching videos on the following channels for example;

    WatchMojo

    Gameranx

    WhatCulture

    This is happening on multiple Xbox 1 consoles. One console is connected to a 4k Samsung TV and the other is connected to an LG 4k monitor. The one connected to the monitor is using the factory Xbox One X cable. The one connected to the TV is using and Amazon
    Basics cable. These glitches only show up on the Xbox, not on FireTV or Roku.

    I have already done the cache clear and soft reset with, initially, some success; but the glitches reappear after a short time.

    Have you tried reinstalling the app? Are you sure it's just not the video themselves?
    I'm sure it isn't the video's themselves. I have watched the same vids on different devices with no problems at all.

    I haven't tried uninstalling, but if the cache clear and soft reset didn't work, I don't imagine an uninstall will do anything different.

    I will say, after the soft reset, the issue isn't as common, but it still happens.

    This is an ongoing issue for xbox one x with quite a few posts as of the last week or so. Hopefully there will be a fix soon, might be worth refering to some of the previous posts for help

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums. This is a known issue that is being worked on currently in the alpha ring of the Xbox Insider program. The alpha ring had an update yesterday and a blog post on

    Xbox Wire     states it's being tracked.

    "My Games and Apps

    • We are tracking the video corruption issue with Youtube and Netflix 4k playback."

    You can always help with the process by reporting the issue through the Xbox Insider Hub app. Just follow this guide

    "How to provide feedback as an Xbox Insider"     for instructions on how to report the issue.
