YOUR XBOX APP IS TERRIBLE YOU GUYS DON'T DESERVE TO BE SUCCED AT GAME INDUSTRY

A good example in how the movie industry and game industry can influence each other is Red Dead Redemption. If any game plot deserves a movie that's it.

I don't want to be That Guy, but... Daggerdale is a terrible game.

I hope not. These developers deserve to go out of business.

I wouldn’t play this game if you paid me. It had quite possibly the most ridiculous slap in the face microtransactions on day 1. All the people that worked on this game do not deserve to be in this business. They really are the scum of this industry.

To prove my point I did some math

lets say 200 people worked on tomb raider, making a whopping $75k a year that is $15million spent per year. for 3 years to make tomb raider, that is $45million, now lets take that number and double it for marketing and we have $90 million spent for said game.

so apparently the game sold 3.4million units in the first month, assuming they profit $35 per game that is 119 Million dollars, which is a profit of 29 MILLION dollars Profit in 1 month. and most numbers don't even include digital sales from PC or console
so I imagine it was even more, it also doesn't touch any DLC sales they made.

the problem with the game industry is the administrative costs and wasteful marketing (seriously stop wasting so much money on marketing)

other guy, fable deserved to die, fable 2 was terrible, fable 3 was terrible, and fable the journey on rails was horrid.

selling game ideas? well here is how that would work.

if you are NOT in the industry ( dev, or anything)

a written idea has a 1 in 100,000 shot of becoming a game

a video of the idea of the game has a 1 in 80,000 shot

a short demo of the game has a 1 in 40,000 shot

that is all assuming your idea isn't terrible.

If you are in the industry, as a game dev, art designer or something I would say your chances are doubled.
