    "Your security protocol won't work"

haven't turned on my Xbox One in a couple months, but it connected previously. All other devices in the house connect to network just fine, the network hasn't changed in a year.

not sure why today the Xbox one is saying "Your security protocol won't work".

    any suggestions?

    :)

    Some additional info...

It keeps saying "restart wireless. There may be a problem with the console's wireless hardware. Try restarting it and then wait a few minutes for the controller to connect again."

But that doesn't work either. All other devices see the wireless ssid name except for the Xbox One.

Ug! So after two hours of futzing with settings and researching online it got fixed by simply unplugging the Xbox one for a few seconds...

    * grumbles about how this is usually the first thing I try and for some reason didn't think to do this time... *
