'Your profile does not have the correct permissions to access Xbox live functionality.' - Error

Basically the problem is that, I have purchased 'Plants vs Zombies (Garden Warfare)' for my younger brother but whenever I start the game, this error would always pop up. If you are interested to help me, I will list the things that I have tried to do in
order to solve my problem below.

To start off, I know that at the front of the game it says 'XBOX LIVE GOLD REQUIRED' however I know and have even been told by the Xbox specialist that I do not need this feature if I want to play the campaign mode ONLY, whereas I would need it if I would
want to play it online with other players.

Moreover, I have mentioned that I bought the game for my younger brother, however I started the game on MY account, which is the adult one, and not the child one.

Also, not so long ago, I have contacted Xbox Support with this issue, and all I have been told was to go to the Settings on my Xbox, then go to Privacy and tick all possible boxes to 'Everyone/ Allow'; I have done so, but the problem still persisted, so they
have told me that they cannot do anything more than that and I have to contact EA because ''they are definitely going to help me''.

So, I contacted EA and started the live chat with one of their members. All, I have been told was to reset the Cache on my Hardware. After doing so, nothing has obviously happened (the error would still pop up) and I have been told to contact Xbox again.

Right now, I'm in the situation where Xbox and EA are not able to help me, and it is more of a 'back and forth situation' where I contact Xbox, they can't help me, so they send me to EA, I contact EA, they can't help me as well, so they send me back to Xbox
etc.

A lot of reading, I know, I apologise but I tried to keep as short as I could so you do not fall asleep while reading.

The question is if there is anyone out there who could help me, because it seems to be a easy and simple problem but it's somehow really complex and hard to solve.

Hi, I'm pretty sure that game is an online only game and as stated on the game case does require a Gold sub in order to play.

Garden Warfare 2 has a single player option that doesn't require a Gold sub I believe.

 

I think you've been told wrong, I have the game and I also needed Xbox Live Gold to play campaign. It's weird but it is required.

 

Plants vs Zombies garden warfare has no offline campaign mode it is always online and xbox live gold membership is required
