    As background I had installed around 1300 games across 2 HDD and one SSD, I own a Xbox One X.

    I been experiencing in the last few weeks how the overall performance of the console was decreasing, taking longer times for actions like delete, manage my game and addons, etc. to be executed.

    I thought it was related to my library size, in part it was true, I formated one of the HDD and removed around half of my installed games with that action, but the performance didn't change significantly.

    As a benchmark I have the Halo MCC in the SSD drive, before factory reseting my console it could take 2 minutes to load the main menu and when choosing a difficulty for the Halo Reach the game was stuck ("loading") making me to manually quit after waiting 10 minutes.

    Now I factory reset my console (saving my games and profile configuration) launched the game and in two minutes I was already watching the initial cutscenes of the campaign.

    So yeah, if your console is slow, refresh it.
