    "Your account needs updating to make a deposit" - Microsoft conventional Support unable to fix?


    Contacted Jeremy P at the regular text support who tried to assist but eventually admitted defeat and pointed me to you.

    All of my MS Account info is up to date (confirmed by Jeremy P), but it still says "Your account needs updating to make a deposit" every time I log in to XBox Rewards.

    There's also no drop down under "GB - Personal Account", which Jeremy seemed to think should be there.

    I have tens of thousands of XBox Live Reward points, but am unable to do anything with them?

    Can you fix it?

    After reviewing your account, it appears that you are currently being affected by an internal database issue which is interfering with the information on your account. What is happening is that your billable account information is being incorrectly communicated
    to our servers. Since this data is necessary to determine where to place your deposit, the process is aborted. This missing information is also why our system is incorrectly asking you to update your data. We have escalated this issue to another team to resolve,
    but have not yet received an approximate solution date. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask for your patience while our other team works on a solution.

    All by billing info is up to date. I have an Argentina Profile which I used when I worked there for a month and maybe this is causing the problem. Is there a way to delete the AR account as I don't need it now and am in the UK permanently

    Hi JamsterJams. Unfortunately, Customer Support is unable to fix your issue. The Payment Operations team is working on it. Once there is a fix, we will make a deposit to your account. Sorry for the inconveniences.

    Hi FRANCISCOXBOXER. Your Xbox Live locale does not match your Rewards locale, therefore we are unable to make a deposit to your Microsoft account. You'll need to change your Microsoft billing locale to your Rewards locale in order for us the make a deposit.
