    Update account to receive deposit?

    The site says I have to update my Microsoft Commerce account to receive the deposit.

    I have two types of account: Personal and Business.

    I don't know why I have an business account, since I only use the personal account.

    My personal account have valid information and is up to date.

    Hello lashen2015,

    Your deposit is being prevented due to a mismatch between your Rewards Account region and your Microsoft Account region. Since your Rewards Account is a separate entity from your Microsoft Account, migrating your Microsoft Account region will not also change
    your Rewards Account region. Therefore, when your Rewards Account attempts a deposit in one regional currency, it cannot complete when your Microsoft Account is of a differing currency. We cannot complete a deposit of USD from your US Rewards Account into
    your Chinese Microsoft Account.

    However, this issue can be fixed by heading over to the Microsoft Commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com) to update your Microsoft
    account to match your Xbox Live Rewards location. Another option if you wish to continue with Rewards in your current Xbox Live region is to opt out of the program at ( https://rewards.xbox.com/optout/ )
    , wait 48 hours and then sign back up again, which can also take 48 hours.

    While you will lose your progress by starting a brand new account, you can start earning Rewards Credits that will successfully reward your newly registered regional currency. To confirm that you have re-registered correctly, you can check your join date
    from the MyRewards page at (Xbox Live Rewards). If your join date shows a specific date and not a date of "???", then your
    account has successfully been re-registered. If you open a new post after being able to log in to your new Rewards account, you can request any pending deposits from your old account to your new one.

    redeem a $10 xbox gift card and then earlier today i decided to redeem a $1.25 gift card but it said in progress i waited a few hours

    Thanks for the update, don't worry. Sometimes the reward redemption can take up to 48 hours to be reflected in your account.

    Due to the system do some security routines in your account when you redeem something.

    Now you just need to keep an eye in your email address.

    Xbox Rewards - Your Account Needs Updating

    Hello DuckyDan,

    There is currently an internal issue with the data stored for your account which is preventing a deposit. Our deposit process cannot correctly determine the primary billable account to deposit into for your Microsoft Account, and thus aborts the process.
    This is an issue that we are working on resolving with another team since we are not able to fully access the database containing billable account information. While our other team has been able to provide intermittent deposits, at the current time we have
    not received an estimate on when this problem will be fully resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    The points I redeemed aren't working

    If you received the email from microsoft rewards you need to go through their customer support here: https://account.microsoft.com/rewards

    If you received it from Xbox Live then you would need to post in the Promotions Forum.

    Xbox Live Rewards deposits points directly in your account and there are no codes/gift cards that they give out.

    How long does it take for rewards to activate?

    It should take about 24 hours to receive the code after you redeem it. If you didn't receive the code, check your order history on the redemption page of the Rewards site and it should give you the option to either resend the code, or it will list the code there. If not, you'll need to contact Rewards support via the contact link at the very bottom of the Rewards site.

    If you did receive the code already and redeemed it on your account, then it should be added to your account immediately.
