Football Manager will need Internet access for its activation process because Microsoft Store is a network-based platform but there is a" workaround". FM customers that do not want Microsoft Store to connect to Internet can launch the Microsoft Store in "Offline Mode" after installation. Internet access after installation of the game will only be needed to apply game updates or Microsoft Store updates, play ‘online’ network games, use the Microsoft Store or use any of the uploading features.

Set Microsoft Store to Offline Mode.

Launch the Microsoft Store with internet connection

Sign in with the account that have purchased [Football Manager title]

Click on the account icon in the top right corner

Click ‘Apps Setting’

Toggle the ‘Offline permissions’ to ‘On’*

Launch [Football Manager title] (re-launch the game if it is already running)

Sign in to Xbox when prompt

*Please note you can only change this option three times per year.

Once you’ve done so you should be able to play Football Manager in offline mode.

I've had this problem a lot in the past. How is your internet connection? It could easily be a problem with the Microsoft Store, so I suggest waiting a bit and trying again later.

If it's something you need soon, you could always try buying it through the Store on the Xbox App or through the Store on the Microsoft Website on a laptop, phone or tablet.

Understandable! Please try go to Settings>System> general> power mode and start up> Restart Now.

Once done, go to Settings> Network>Advanced settings> Clear alternate MAC> restart.

Check if that works.
