So I recently reinstalled Battlefield 3 and I wanted to play multiplayer but it keeps on saying this same message “You need to be signed into Xbox LIVE to access Xbox LIVE game play features.” and I tried to look for solutions by looking at posts with
this same problem but they seem to have no correct solution as for I tried it, but it didn’t work. Anybody got any ideas on how I can fix this?

Yes, you need to be able to sign into Xbox Live to access online features of games, which includes theater mode/vault!

What type of xbox console are you using?

Are you connecting to your gateway/router with WiFi or a wired ethernet cable (recommended)?

Have you power cycled your gateway?

Is this the only backwards compatible game that this is happening with?

When you load the game up does it give you a message that says disconnected from xbox live?

Is your password longer than 16 characters?

Hi TrickerKey066,

sorry to hear. First of all check
"the Live Service Status" and then your
account security (if you are allowed to play online/resticted child account??) Please check (if you try to play at a Computer) if your System is uptodate (via Windows update and also the Windows Store APP). Check if all the 4 XBOX Services are running (via
taskmanager / services) if this is all fine try to repair/update "Xbox Identity Provider".

I am playing on the xbox one as of now, and I did have a xbox 360 back sometime around 2010 to 2014, and yes I am able to play other games online, but no there doesn’t seem to be a error code with the problem that I am experiencing.
