You must sign in to XBox Live to play Sea Of thieves but i am signed in

Hello

My Friend and i wanted to try out the Sea of Thieves Final Beta.

Sadly it does not work for him, he gets the error Code "Ashbeard" He has to sign in into his XBox Live Account. But he is signed in to Xbox Live, he can text me via the App.

It worked perfectly for me. It doesnt work for him. My Account is a new one, his is a older account.

I am having the exact same problem. I have spoken to Microsoft tech and they advised me to unplug my Xbox and plug it in again. Typical unprofessional help from Microsoft.

Still nothing regarding a solution. I have tried uninstalling Xbox one App, Reinstalling, re-logging in, Reinstalling Sea Of Thieves. Nothing helps. I've paid money for this game and I can't get on it. Not Happy

did you restart your game? restart xbox?

did you signed off the account and signed back in?

Yes i restart and log off all (it's xbox live on windows - PC)

usually it might take sometime before it changes...do you have this problem on all games or only Sea of Thieves?

I take xbox account only for Sea of Thieves

I am log with the correct nickname however the name of the character is the old nickname (IG)

After uninstalling and reinstalling Sea of Thieves and the Xbox Game Bar many times, I am able to invite and accept invites on Sea of Thieves Insider through the Game Bar. I am able to send invites from the Game Bar for Sea of Thieves. However, when I receive an invite or try to join in on Sea of Thieves, I still have the same problem. Sea of Thieves and Sea of Thieves Insider are two different builds. There must be a file somewhere on my computer that is not being deleted or uninstalled and it's not allowing me to accept these invites on just Sea of Thieves. I don't know how to find this file.
