    Please remove this feature in future updates, it's so tediously unnecessary.

    My Queue was full of games at 99% that refused to finish. I later found out I needed to stick the game disc in to verify ownership before they would go to 100% and clear out of my overcrowded queue. Why? It's an update to a previously installed title! If
    I didn't own the game, then it should still update but not allow me to play it.

    The XB1 interface is slow and unresponsive, I am almost eager for when they scrap this and introduce an entirely new system (Too bad that will take a minimum of 2 years. . .).

    Updates for games stop at 99%

    If installing updates for a disc game you will need to insert the disc for it to finish the update.

    It is true that you will still need to have the disc to prove ownership of the title. The disc will spin momentarily and then stop.

    The only way to avoid that is to purchase a digital download of the game.

    Sorry, but this is how its built, originally that is what the Xbox One was intended to do. Insert a disk to have it registered and then no more disk. But since its on revered DRM,

    Hi,

    No, that's not how it works.

    GTA IV is a backwards compatible game. When you insert the disc the console will prompt you for an update (the update is actually the digital download).

    To play a disc based Xbox 360 game on your Xbox One you'll still need to insert the disc to launch the game and prove ownership.

    Since you don't have a digital license, you need to insert the disc to prove ownership. There is no way around this.

    Hi,

    The disc is just a medium to get your game installed on your console. If you have installed a game from disc and then purchased the digital version you will no longer require the disc and the console will not look for the disc when you start the game anymore
    even if it is inserted.

    For example a friend comes around with a game and installs it on your console (along with any patches from Xbox Live) from their disc. When they leave - taking their disc with them - you then decide you like this game too and buy it from the Xbox Store on
    your console.

    The game you have already installed changes from requiring the disc to prove ownership to a digital ownership, there is no download required because your game is already installed and updated.

    No Xbox One games run fully off discs anyway. Every game has to be fully installed and the disc is just read for a few seconds to prove ownership.
