Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your Xbox. I understand that you are receiving error an error message whenever you sync your console.

This error code is not related to your local storage but on your "cloud saves" storage. If you are playing Bethesda games or other games with large save files, there is a high chance that you already reached the limit of your cloud storage.

To fix this issue, you will have to permanently delete some of your saved files from the cloud to free up space. You may choose some of those games that you already finished or you're no longer playing. To do this, follow these steps:

Note: this will delete your local and cloud saved data from the game that you will choose, it can no longer be retrieved once deleted.

On Home, select My games and apps.

Highlight the game, press the Menu button​ ​​on your controller, and then select Manage game.

In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.

You'll be prompted to confirm the deletion of this game save data

Select "Delete Everywhere"

This moderator is clearly copying and pasting old data from the Xbox One days. This troubleshoot doesn’t work on Xbox Series X or S consoles.

“Cloud saved games” isn’t an option anymore.

I can’t find how to force a cloud sync. I can’t play Starfield on my other console in another room because the data won’t sync.

What’s the point of cloud saving if it doesn’t actually save???

Everyone doesn’t want to grind X amount of hours. Personally I don’t have the time to do that anymore so it shouldn’t be expected of anyone to delete their data they worked hard for just to play a game. Hopefully their is a fix for this. I know in the past when there was save data issues you couldn’t load a particular save however you would just go to another save and tried to load it if you saved in multiple slots or points throughout the game. However this doesn’t give you the option as you can’t even access your profile of save data thus the problem.

What console are you experiencing this issue with - Xbox One or Series X|S? Please specify the exact model.

Are you an Xbox Insider and what OS version are you currently on? You can find this info in Settings > System > Console info.

This error is generally related to insufficient storage or a corrupt game file. Do you receive the error with other accounts/profiles? Refer to ‘we can’t save additional info for...’ in this guide:

I see you have a 2TB external storage drive, so there’s a possible workaround to this. If the game is on your internal storage, try to move it to the external (or vice versa) and see if there’s any difference after. Be sure to restart your console by disconnecting the power cable (from both the wall outlet and console itself) and wait at least 10-15 seconds to completely reset the power supply before relaunching the game.

Don’t worry, you don’t necessarily need to completely uninstall and reinstall the game again. Moving (or copying) games is significantly faster than installing:

The game loads perfectly on a friend’s console.

I only deleted the files on our console. I was worried that if I deleted it everywhere all his progress would be lost. (He had just gotten to level 50 not too long ago).
