Minecraft joining friends game problem

So everytime I try to join my friend's game and error message saying "You cannot join this game because your it has been limited to players who are friends of the host." But it every time I look it says we're friends and idk when to fix it, someone please
help!

Unable to join friends' games on Minecraft

My daughter has added two cousins as friends/favorites on her XBox One. She is able to host parties and games and they are able to participate in her parties/games; however, she is unable to join their games, even when invited. When she attempts to join
their game, a menu pops up that says, "Can't join game. You cannot join this game because it has been limited to players who are friends of the host." She IS friends with the host, so I'm not sure why she can't connect.

Also, Xbox Live says friends should also be followers, but it isn't showing her friends as followers. I'm not sure if this issue is related to the Minecraft issue, but thought I'd throw it out there. Please help!

Hi, if you both unfriend and then friend each other again does that help ?

I should also add that you should make sure you are friends with whoever is hosting and not just a follower.

or other errors telling you that you that you cant join your friends game because hes not your friend..

Here is the FIX:

--both you and your friend go to xbox.com and unfriend each other.

--on the website, send each other a Xbox360 friend request, then send an xbox one request.

--Friend or Favorite, doesnt matter.

--Hard reset both your xbox ones.

--you will now be able to join your friends server.

No idea what is wrong, but this is the fix. enjoy.

True, it might just have been a recent player joining at the end of the game. And the registration of the player is incomplete. That's why there is no name or registration of his scoring. No, I cannot add him because the player is not in the players list.

EXACTALLYYY someone who finally gets it! It sucks because I have lots of pc players who are my old friends and I cannot talk to them. I’ve been banned from games multiple times purely because I cannot reply to messages. They need to fix this nonsense like it makes no sense. 18+ games are being made so therefore Xbox players should be able to chat
