There might be another way to resolve that issue. While this involves some steps you already did with the troubleshooting suggestion you linked to, please do follow my instructions, and do the steps again, even if you did them before.

The reason is, that while you did clear your saves, or tried to install it offline, the process described on the website might not remove all traces that suggest a newer update version of the game, and so the console will try to update the game during the
disc installation, which might cause the installation to stop.

Also, it might be that there is a defect or dirt on the disc.

So please do the following:

Eject the game disc, and go to "My games and apps". Find your game that gives you trouble and press the Menu button to "Manage" your game installation.

Again delete your local save storage for the game, and then delete the main game installation and all DLC if applicable.

Make sure there is nothing shown to be installed of the game on your console!

Now, with the disc ejected, hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds. After the console has shut down, turn the console back on, and make sure it shows you a green bootup screen.

If there is no green boot screen, hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds again.

Since it can take some time for the console to boot, take your disc to the kitchen, and apply a small drop of mild dishwasher soap to the silver side of the disc.

Wet your fingers, and "massage" the soap around the silver side in a spiraling motion.

When the silver side is completely covered in soap, make sure to hold the disc from now on with your index finger in the center hole and your thumb on the edge of the disc ONLY!!!

Rinse the disc under running water, and shake it several times to get the water off.

Wipe the remaining drops with a soft, lint free cloth.

Return to your console which should have finished booting. Do NOT insert the disc just yet.

Go to the console's network settings, and put the console into offline mode.

That way the console is prevented from "seeing" updated versions of your game, or to check for Games with Gold or other offers that might allow you to play the game without disc.

Now that you put the console in offline mode, insert the disc and let the game install while offline.

The installation should now run through completely.

After the disc was completely installed, bring the console back online and let the console update your game.

If the store page tells you that you can play it means a copy is already installed, perhaps a trial copy. Check your Games & Apps page to see if it is there and if so uninstall it.

Also try installing the game in offline mode. Settings > Network > Go Offline

As already suggested, if you have problems to install your games, you can delete the

cache from the console or try to install the game in offline mode. As for your questions:

1) With the Gold subscription you can use many services (necessary to play in multiplayer, where specified), including saves in the cloud and free games on GwG;

2) You can continue to use your games, on physical support (except those in multiplayer, where specified), saving your progress on your console.

Hello yeah tried both methods in the support article(no success) its happened with two different discs after using the method mentioned in my first post it plays fine(as do other games/dvd/blu-rays) so I don’t see how it could the discs themselves I dont
know anyone else witha xbox one console to confirm his though just to reiterate its installing from disc thats the problem
