    "You can join multiplayer games" permanently blocked


    I was playing Halo MCC fine since release, but now my setting for Multiplayer in the "Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety" is permanently blocked, after saving my settings it reverts to "Blocked" every time. This is my account, no family settings.

    This is an Account issue and may have to be dealt with by a Professional go to https://support.xbox.com/ and let them know your issue. This could be because of a Temp Ban, Perm Ban
    on Xbox but lets hope its not try that Link though.

    Decide to allow or block joining Xbox Live multiplayer games on Xbox One.

    Thats one of the things to allow or block and Ive allowed it. and i still cant access online stuff. it did this a couple months ago.

    If you have your settings set to block joining multiplayer games, you can’t join any multiplayer games in Minecraft, including shared local worlds, Realms or servers. To enable multiplayer in Minecraft, make sure this setting is set to ‘Allow.’

    However, just like ASCllnaut, that setting was already turned on for my children. In other words I'm in the same boat, we can play on the LAN but not on a realm.

For settings like that, you usually have to go into the games menu, and if the developer allows it, you can toggle those settings. On the Xbox side, if you go to

    Xbox communication & multiplayer

    1. Go to settings
    2. Account
    3. Privacy & online safety
    4. Xbox Privacy
    5. View details & Customize
    6. Communication and Multiplayer
    7. Here you can block, you can join multiplayer games & you can join the cross-network play.
    If this is not the solution you are looking for, you can look up the specific game and see what they offer to block people from joining your game. Many games provide offline play or friends invite-only. What game are you playing?

    I can change all settings to block and submit and it saves but when I put them all back to allow, the joining multiplayer does not saves
