You are not connected to the internet - Error code: (0x89235106)

We understand you are having issues with accessing Game Pass games. No worries, I will do my best to help you sort this out for you to get back to gaming.

Error code (0x89235106) usually indicates a network connectivity issue. However, I would like to ask you a few questions to further isolate the issue.

1. May I know if this issue happens to most of the Game Pass games you have tried or just a specific game?
2. May I also know if you are using Xbox App to access the games?
3. Are you logged in to the same account on Microsoft Store App?

In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

1. Check your internet connection: Make sure that your device is connected to the internet and that your network connection is stable.



2. Repair Xbox App:

• Type “Xbox” into the Start Menu and select “App Settings”.
  
• Scroll down to the “Reset” section and try the “Repair” button.
  

3. Check for updates: Make sure that your device is up to date with the latest updates and patches.



4. Check your firewall settings: Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking the Xbox app or Game Pass.

5. Check Xbox Services:

• Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  
• Look for Gaming Services in the list of services.
  
• Right-click on it, select Properties, and ensure that the Startup type is set to Automatic. If not, change it to Automatic.
  
• If the service isn’t started, click Start to initiate it.
  

6. Reset Gaming Services:

• Press Win + I to open Settings.
  
• Go to Apps > Apps & Features.
  
• Locate Gaming Services, click the menu button (three dots), and choose Advanced Options.
  
• Click Reset and confirm the action.
  

7. Check NAT Type and Connectivity:

• Download the Xbox Console Companion app.
  
• In the app, go to Settings > Network and check your NAT type.
  
• Additionally, open Windows PowerShell (admin) and run the following command:
  
  

  Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

• Restart your PC and see if the problem persists.

I have the same problem. Games won't load on Xbox App (Error code: 0x89235106). Microsoft Store won't load (Error Code: 0x80131500). Epic Store App is not connecting. I've tried resetting, repairing, and reinstalling. Nothing worked. I'm very much connected to the internet. Those three apps are the ones seeming having problems.

I have a same problem here, Error code 0x89235106 shown when I want to download minecraft launcher on PC.

Hello, sorry for the really late reply.

I tried all 3 solutions and resetting and repairing hasn't fixed the issue and pasting in the commands sent only a access denied message.

Is there anything else I can do?

Please try the steps one at a time to resolve the issue.

Solution 1: Repair and reset the Gaming Services app, Microsoft Store app, and the Xbox app.

Please go to Settings > Apps > Apps Features. Select Gaming Services, then click Advanced options. Click the repair and reset button, do the same for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app, try to login again, and see if it works.

Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the Gaming Services App

Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Restart your device and try to log in and see if it works.

Solution 3:

Please open the PowerShell in admin mode and paste the following below:

Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
