Yesterday, my Microsoft account was stolen, and all my data was changed.

The problem is that I have already recovered my Microsoft account, but the Xbox account where I had my games does not seem to exist. Xbox is prompting me to set a new gamertag as if I had just created a new account.

If you attempt to log in and receive a message stating that the account does not exist, it means the account either doesn't exist or has been closed. This can happen when there has been no activities in the last two years. Once an address is removed or deleted, it cannot be used again, which then gives you a message account that already exists. This is also possible when your account has been compromised which based on your description is what had happened.

I’m sorry the previous suggestions didn’t resolve your issue. Account theft and recovery can be really tough, especially when automated tools fall short.

I know this isn’t easy, and I wish there were a direct Microsoft phone line to talk to a human. Unfortunately, Microsoft’s support is mostly automated for security reasons.
