  1. YcbCr 4:2:0/4:2:2/4:4:4 8/10/12 bit 1080p/4k support for the video setttings of the xbox one X

I would like the support of Ycbcr chroma subsampling added to the colour space in the video settings of the xbox one X. Because of the use of the RGB limited there is a small change in colours (because all movies are encoded in the YcbCr 4:2:0 8 /10 bit
colour space depending whether they use HDR and rec 2020 colour space instead of rec 709 ) when converting from the YcbCr 4:2:0 to RGB limited colour space - polish portal hdtvpolska.com in their review of the xbox one X actually measured this inaccuracy of
converting colours. Also this would be appreciated when it comes to playback of ultra bluray discs with HDR and 4k HDR games and 4k HDR netflix&amazon playback as many devices (mostly projectors with limited 4k HDR support) can't work correctly with your device
as their bandwith is usually limited to 10 gbs HDMI (so it will only accept 3840x2160p YcbCr 10 bit 4:2:0 chroma subsampling) and won't work with your current 3840x2160p YcbCr 10 bit RGB limited colour space as it requires more bandwith. I hope this problem
will be resolved as an update to the xbox one X and to the ultra bluray player app.

    :)

  2. Xbox One X Display Settings related to potential bandwidth limitations.

Is there any information anywhere regarding Xbox One X's output settings For 4k? I need to know what options are chooseable for games to play at as it pertains to bandwidth limitations of HDMI. In fact everyone considering this device should want to know.
This matters for 4k support @ 30hz/60hz,, HDR as well. Here are some options,

    RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0, meaning 16 bit, 12 bit, 10 bit, or 8 bit.

Things like 4:4:4 require more bandwidth and without knowing if dithering is happening or if there are selectable options users will not know if the One X will support their TV. Some devices have 13.5gbps HDMI, others 10gbps, and naturally 18gbps which
    all should be supported. Thanks!!

Xbox One S HDR UHD and Netflix Playback.

    Hey Miss Bijoux,

If I turn off "Allow HDR" then the content plays as normal. The washout only happens during HDR video playback and nowhere else.

I contacted LG support on this after some investigation on my own. I noted that by checking my signal on the receiver HDR video playback on the Xbox One S is 10-bit RGB at 24Hz.

All other devices I've used seem to use either 12-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 60Hz (PS4) or 10-bit 4:2:0 60 Hz (HDR Blu Ray Player) for their HDR content. LG Says they don't support 10-bit RGB.

Now here's where it gets interesting. HDR Games on the Xbox One S come through at 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:0 60Hz. So I tried disabling the 24Hz signal in the Xbox One S.

Now it puts out a 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:0 60Hz signal when attempting to watch HDR video... but the dimming issue still persists.

Dashes mean that the sampling for those color schemes are not available. The zeros are equivalent of checkmarks, that in this color scheme, sampling is available. And with UHD Color setting turned on, the 10-bit and 12-bit sampling for color depths YCbCr
4:2:2 and YCbCr 4:2:0 are available. Xbox One S supports all of the color depths. And 10-bit sampling is the equivalent of HDR10. So as long as you turn UHD Color on the TV, you will get HDR color support with this TV set.

The singal coming form the XBOX is 4k 60hz but for color depth 8-bit and 4:2:0. From what I understand 8-bit is fine, but the 4:2:0 should either be 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, which makes me wonder if I need to get a HDFury Linker and connect that to my Projector
which then connects to the AVR, for the Xbox to detect that it does indeed support it. UGH Wish I knew more about 4k technologies. Still super confused why PS4 Pro, Roku, and FireTv all send the right stuff but Xbox doesn't.
