Xresolver and Octosniff removal

he is on about the octosniff tool that is advertised on the xresolver site, it basically shows all ip addresses when you are in a p2p game or an xbox live party, then morons use it to ddos people offline for kicks. the problem is that Microsoft cannot see
this happening on the network as it does not connect to live as it intercepts the traffic.

its not just that program, the problem is lack of protection on the networks, octosniff is one of thousands of applications that can retrieve ip addresses, you can even create your own script to do it.

its either the isp that is going to have to place protections on peoples connections or networks like live start masking addresses.

The way this site gets your ip is by using your xbox gamertag in the xbox resolver tab under misc then tools.

So will anything be done about this site because playing a competitve game like rainbow 6 siege i will almost always get dosed because of this site and I'm sure that others also get dosed because of this site.

an actual person in the party must use a program to obtain the ip addresses from within that party, they then add it to the site, the site does not automatically search all active parties as it cannot. so someone in the party you are connected with is doing
this and adding to the site or is ddossing you, you need to find out who and report and block them and not join a party with them. and call your isp to have an ip change. If it keeps happening then you can report to your local law enforcement as it is a cybercrime.
