    it would be nice to have the option to leave enabled in the corner of the screen an option to show the currently transmitted resolution, I play forza Horizon 4 and I never managed to reach 1080p even with an internet of 100 download and 100 upload (and no internet signal appears when is in low resolution), but when the avengers game is always at a better resolution, it's 1080p or pretty close, so I wanted an option showing the resolution to see how much the game was getting.

    It depends on what is being transmitted. For just data, not a whole lot. For video streaming, it can add up (depending on the resolution of the video).

    that is correct, your local hardware is not being used to play the game beyond transmitting your control inputs

    Any display that you buy always displays at its native resolution, and anything below that or above that is scaled to fit.

    Have you checked a different HDMI cable? Maybe the cable is defective and has trouble transmitting higher resolutions properly.

    What is the next step for gamming

    Of course consoles get more power, but internet is getting faster at the same time, so Cloud gaming like XCloud is going to be a big part of it.

    Also, I hope that we can figure out better protocols for fast short range transmission , to wirelessly transmit data to e.g. VR headsets
