    This thread is for all questions and answers regarding headset audio settings, headsets with mixamps that work with Xbox consoles, and integrated PC audio streaming setups and settings. I would like to cover every aspect from simple headsets that work through the xbox controller, as well as more complex systems that incorporate mixamps for use with optical audio through xbox consoles that dont rely on controller but the console I independently or through a windows PC simultaneously.

    *** I will continue to update this as I can, having experience in setting up several different audio systems for use with my console and PC. It can be confusing as first when you first go into the settings and are not sure which options to select. I will cover simple stereo audio as well as optical audio settings and how they mix with party chat, game audio, and multiple channels at once.

    Also the differences between HDMI uncompressed,5.1, 7.1, stereo, bitstream out. Also Dolby digital, windows sonic and Surround.

    Hi! So this is my 1st time ever posting in a forum so please bear with me. On the xbox one, i used to be heard in my clips that I would make. Then they updated and that was no longer a thing. So I now have the Xbox Series S and just bought Astros a40 and mixamp pro. I was told that headset, me and voice/party chat could be heard in my clips. No luck. Did a little research and read that I needed an hdmi audio extractor since the new gen consoles have no optical port. So I bought one and still no luck!! I've been trying to figure this out for months. I was told I can use a capture card but I don't have a pc. I love making clips but if you can't hear my friends and I, then the clips aren't as awesome lol. Please, someone help!!!!

    I have this headset, you have to use the optical/SPDIF connection and a headset adapter with the wire to the headset for the mic to work. You will need to use the USB connection only to power the Soundblaster wireless unit. With the headset configured
    this way it is the same as if the XBoxOne were hooked up to a digital stereo receiver.

    Verify your system's audio settings are set for Optical use, you can gather how to do this from here:

    support.xbox.com/.../configure-audio-settings

    Other things to consider are: make sure you have a good charge, the wireless syncs up with the headset, you may need to toggle the switch PC for this configuration.

    if you are still having issues please test the headset with another device such as an iPhone/iPod (yes it will work with 3.5mm Optical) or a PC.

    link on how to configure you audio    . That said, the audio settings here will not effect the Microsoft Stereo Headset adapter in any way. The stereo headset adapter is just stereo. What you're referring to is settings for your home audio receiver, if you
    have one of those at all.

    Standard PC headsets use twin three section jack plugs (green for audio, pink for mic), Xbox One headsets use a different configuration and use a four section jack plug going directly into the controller .

    Then you just have to go to the audio configuration of the headset and then modify the chat mixer, after the first time the system will remember the configuration
