    XBOXONE External Hardrive connection weak


    I have a sea gate external drive that I’ve used on my Xbox one series S for a year now. After the most recent Xbox update my external drive is giving the error “We see your external storage but the connection is too weak to use. “, I’ve reset the console already, updated it, and made sure to try all the ports but now I can’t use my external hard drive. Any advice? The drive shows up in storage but the Xbox won’t let me download anything until it’s unplugged completely. Any tips on how to fix this

    Question

    You should be able to use an external usb hardrive as well as the games you already have installed on your xbox, as long as it meets the requirements for downloading and storing games. I have a 3tb hardrive and use my xbox hardrive as well for downloading
    and storing games and it works just fine, you just have to connect it to the usb port of your xbox for it to be recognized as an external device.

    the hardrive that comes with the 500 gb xbox 360 is that inside or attachable?

    cause i have a external hardrive that holds 30 gb that i connected to my old xbox 360. Can that connect to new xbox 360?

    how would you move the 500 gb hardrive to a new console i assume its inside?

    assuming i get red ring of death.

    I think the best thing to do then is get games on the 500 gb part and use external for game saves?

    assuming i can attache the 30 gb hardrive to new console.

    what i did to fix it was got an external hardrive put all of my staff on my xbox harddrive and put it on the external

    and i formatted the xbox hardrive

    then i run the update and it worked

    Which Xbox One model would be best 4 me?

    Currently it would be hard to find an Xbox One with a hardrive with more than 500GB, that being said you should invest in either an external hardrive or a new hardrive with at least a 1TB.
