Xboxlivefamily Email

I have an xboxlivefamily email address and cannot receive emails at this address. I have tried adding another email to the account but it will not allow me to change it to the primary alias (no error windows, it doesn’t
even give me the option to change and “Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias.” is already present on the screen)

It is a personal account that has been set up for many years, under the old family xbox live plan.

I'm unfamiliar with this email domain, but found a past thread here that might help you eith th alias problem.

I would also google "xboxlivefamily email" and take a look at some results. It seems like these emails were automatically generated by Microsoft years ago when family account were possible. They were for login purposes and never meant to recieve emails.

I understand, the big question is, Microsoft has no change, include or delete emails that are in family groups, this is done by the user, we also have no way to change security emails from an account or create an "Alias" for a particular account.

As you said before, if you are in a family account, you should first try to leave it so that then you can make any changes to your email.

still dont work i have the email as a mail account and i dont get mail from it too amd thats the main reason i want it changed also when i try to add the email in my gmail it dosent work also when i removed the account i couldnt play some games

Hello Hadz_C, as your email is in a family account, you will need to ask the head of the family, in case the email that your email is grouped to remove your email from the family.
