Xboxlive account name being changed

hello, my names joao & my gamertag was recently changed to a name that I never gave permission to . I’m highly offended and discouraged to play again my names a big part of who I am ... with that being said if you / or players who’m found it offensive I’m
sorry . I would love to change my name if you would allow me to that would mean a lot thanks very much .

If you want your name changed then you will need to change it on xboxlive and not on the console itself. This happen to me and all I did was went onto xboxlive and I changed it from my account.

GAME SAVE LOST

I changed my name in windows xbox live. I signed in normally, but my save game does not appear. Note that the achievents of the game particurarly 'Dark souls' appear to the xboxlive account. any solution please ?

I understand that but the Tag it's self is only useable on xboxlive the account and the xboxlive gamertag are 2 different names as such i can change my name to my my Microsoft account but on xbox live it remains Fur Dragon. The gamer tag is
solely used for xbox live and doesnt affect the Microsoft account in any way.

The only option you would have is to create a new XboxLive account. You cannot change the age associated with the XboxLive account..

Now resolved

My problem was the name on the account. The Xbox Account, not the bank account/card details (xboxlive...Account/BillingAccountInformation).

After changing this to my real name (rather than nickname), I was able to add a card - BUT still not able to process a payment.

I then added a PayPal account to my xbox account, and...

Back on Gold!

Any major changes to the account will show as the GT being sold.

Name changes, CC being changed, New console recovering the account.
