Xbox360 won't accept longer passwords

I was trying to sign into xbox live on my xbox360 and kept getting the error: 8015D003

After chatting with a rep we concluded that after changing my password to a longer more secure password the length is longer than what the xbox 360 accepts. This needs to be fixed. The solution I was presented with was to change my password to a shorter easier password.

Wasted over an hour with resetting my password(why does the Microsoft website accept my longer, 17-digit password, but xbox360 only accepts 16-digit???) Did not work after downloading profile, again. The message window still reads "Playback Error", Status
code: c101a3ff. Help.

Hi, as you found out the 360 won't accept passwords longer than 16 characters, you could enable two step verification in which case you'd just need the app password rather than your full password, or the only other option is to
shorten your password.

The xbox 360 does not accept passwords that are longer then 16 characters so if you password is longer then 16 characters then that is your problem and would need to change your password to something less then 16 characters.

I am 19 and I cant use my gamertag because it's asking me to accept terms of use... But I can't do that as the email address connected to my dad's parent account is no longer in use and it won't accept any passwords. Both my dad and I have tried singing
in on Xbox website but we can't access our account settings it just tells us to log in and accept terms of use... Then log back in and accept... It goes round in circles.
