Xbox360 profil linked with "hotmail mail"

Hi community

I have a Xbox360 since 2011 and my unique profil is linked with an old email adress in "hotmail.com"

Yesterday i have just received my new Xbox One X, and tried to connect with my famous hotmail profil .... Not possible.

So, I discovered that this hotmail account is too old. So I converted it in "outlook" account as explained in the mailbox.

Then, with my new outlook email I create an account in the Xbox One X, but it seems to be a virgin one. I mean no memory of my games, of my profile, of anything... I have to buy again everything (even games like GTA V which must be retrocompatible) I do
not understand where the problem is. I do not have active Live Gold account, but i don't care about the saves, i just wanna see my already paid games, my orders history, etc...

Just make a new e-mail account at Hotmail and use that for your profile and only that profile. Good for account security as well.

 

Transferring an X-Box Live Profile to another Microsoft Account

I have an old Hotmail account that I had created as an alias years ago and my current X-Box profile is linked to it. I have a new Outlook account that I would like to transfer all my games, Gamerscore, licenses, etc to so I can preserve my tag. One small
problem, I've already at some point created an X-Box profile on this new e-mail so I can't easily transfer my profile under Account Security in the system settings.

How do I delete my X-Box profile from my Outlook account so that I can transfer the X-Box profile linked to my Hotmail to the Outlook account?

 

Hotmail is still an active server owned by MS you would just sign in at outlook.com

I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT IT IS but do you know the password for the Hotmail account?

If so what happens when you try and sign in with the account on the console?

What happens when you try and sign in with the account at either outlook.com or account.xbox.com?

 

Did your change your email address that everything got reset?

 

That may had some impact on it. Or you can just redownload your profile to see if everything will refresh.

 

Yep, i tried but not accepted.

Says something like "impossible .... bla bla bla ...reserved domain" with hotmail.com marked in red ...

With the outlook email, i can sign in, but this account is empty ...

 

nope, nothing happen even if i delete and sign in again...

 

i f i well remember, few days ago, i tried to log in my hotmail mailbox but failed to do open it.

Outlook said "This Microsoft account does not exist. Write another account, or create a new one" => translated from french, sorry if not really correct

So i create the equivalence in outlook mailbox

 

I still use my Hotmail.com email even under Outlook.

However, there was an issue several years ago, that if you used your account only for Xbox, and didn't sign in regularly at least once during a certain time (I think it was 1 year or something like that) with your account on the actual Live service (like
your Hotmail email account), the Microsoft Account would be deleted, and the Gamertag you had would be in some kind of Limbo, where it still exists online, but isn't attached to a Microsoft Account.

If you create a new account, all your game progress on the old account and your past purchases will be lost!

In your case I'd try to contact the official support, and have them check if that happened to you (i.e. your existing Gamertag is now stuck with a Microsoft Account that was deleted because of inactivity), and have them try to attach your Gamertag to your
new Microsoft Account you created on Outlook.

There click on "My Account" (or "Mon Compte" in French), and if a box with a virtual agent shows up, click on "No Thanks..."

Then click Manage Account (or Gérer un compte), and then at the bottom of the page click on the "afficher les moyens de contact" button.

That should make several tiles appear where you can then (depending on times of day and times of operation of the support in your country) either chat with support or have them call you back.

Sorry for the issue with your profile. First I would log onto the Xbox 360 with the Hotmail and make sure it is still valid. If so then you want to make it a

Live account on the Xbox 360. Once you do this you will be able to download the Hotmail account to the Xbox one X. Being you don't have gold the profile is considered a offline profile. Try this and let us know.
