All these predictions for the next gen Xbox even the name and it will be called Xbox 1. Why call it Xbox 1 though it is the third released Xbox not the first. Xbox 720 would have been a better name for it.

Please check out the posts listed in the link above, and contact your internet provider to set them up for you.

You may also learn how to port forward by checking out
portforward.com. Just look for your router information (If an ad appears just close the ad).

The Xbox One has specific protocols and ID's that are unique and different compared to other devices you may be able to connect to the router. Like your mobile phone, tablet, or laptop. The reason why the Xbox One and other gaming console's with online services
are different is because they are connecting to additional servers, Xbox Live for example, and with that brings more security and more hurdles to jump over to get fully and securely connected to Xbox Live.

Generally if your other devices can connect to the router, then there could be a specific security firewall or setting that is blocking your Xbox from connecting to Xbox Live.

I would suggest contacting
Xbox Customer Support in your region as well as getting in contact with your Internet Service Provider to go over what the issue is.
