Xbox you Lied

You guys really played it well when Xbox stated that their games would not be only online. Well technically you do have to be online to play any of the games that you purchase as a digital download from the xbox marketplace. I recently moved and at this
moment and for next 30 days I will be without internet. I set my console as my home xbox and changed my network settings to go offline and not one game out 37 titles that I have bought from marketplace work. I will never by another digital copy from you guys
again. I will only buy disks from my local stores. Thanks for allowing me to spend all that money and not be able to play offline.

You can stack up to 36 months( 3 years) worth of xbox live.

 

Yes, even boxed games rely on being online to do too many things - even help which is very little text to download locally really.

What you can investigate is if your smartphone, if you have one, allow connect over usb and use that connection.

Even on pc you can share connection if network hold both xbox and pc.

I used that a lot until 18 months ago - usb stick for internet on pc, shared that connection and allowed both ps3 and xbox 360 to connect that way.

Just an idea, not to be cripled for a whole month.

 

If you check you will find that if you ever want to use your Xbox One without connecting to Xbox Live, you can set your console to offline. While offline, your console won't connect to any networks.

You need to be online to experience everything Xbox One has to offer, but when you're offline, you can still play games, if you have a disc or you're on your home Xbox.

Thanks for the help....But I set my xbox as my home xbox while I was online last and then went into networks settings and clicked go offline and every game I have downloaded will not play and it will tell me to either connect to the internet or make my xbox
my home to play offline. So it isn't making much sense to me. But I will just try using my phone internet or wait till my internet is finally hooked up.
