Xbox X thinks my USB headset is a controller

Discus and support Xbox X thinks my USB headset is a controller in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have trouble with some games when I get on the “press A to continue” because my Xbox thinks that the USB I have plugged in (which is for my headset)...     Xbox X thinks my USB headset is a controller


    I have trouble with some games when I get on the “press A to continue” because my Xbox thinks that the USB I have plugged in (which is for my headset) is a controller/mouse. I learned that by unplugging for a second and then pressing A tends to let me play the games, but I is there no way to make my Xbox know that the USB is a headset and not a mouse/keyboard?

    Don't worry we will work on this together. Let's try to troubleshoot.

    Don't worry we will fix this together. Please make sure you can sign in all your profiles. Let's try to restore the console back to factory defaults but we will select keep my games and apps so it won't remove your games and progress.

    Please follow the steps here:

    - Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    - Select Settings

    - Select System

    - Select Console info & updates

    - Select Reset console

    - Select Keep Games and Apps

    After this, you will have to sign in again with your email and password. Then please check if there's any changes. Thanks!

    This is because you arent using a xbox compatible headset

    Headsets must.be made for.xbox label

    I recently purchased the Hyper X Cloud 2 headset. This headset comes with an Audio control box that has a USB plug in. However when i plugged it into my Xbox it doesn’t work. I read a couple other questions regarding USB audio inputs and saw mixed
    answers. Is there anything i can do to make this work?
    Headsets with USBs don't work on xbox. If you have a jack with it you should use that instead. (plugs into controller)

    Xbox Series X type-c port?

    On the video, Xbox Series X has USB type A only.

    The new controller, I think is type-A (Xbox Series X) to type-c (controller). (Elite2 is a to c usb)

    I understand you about the xbox license.

    I rather not want to have a wireless headset because I dont like charging and the battery life will decrease over time. So that leave me with two options:
    1. Wired, 3.5mm into the Xbox series x controller
    2. Wired, usb, into the Xbox series X

    I checked the microsoft store and there are only 2 compatible series X headsets. Both wireles.

    Do you know any wired Xbox series X headset? That is compatible with the series x? I prefer USB but have to go 3.5mm otherwise.
