Xbox X fan continues when off using Instant On Mode

As the title says, does any one else's X's (Scorpio) fan stay on when you turn it off when using the instant on setting. I thought it might be the external HDD's, Network cable or Kinect causing this but its not. I have checked it when only the power cable
(direct to the wall) is connected. It also stays warm.

When you use the energy saving mode it completely shuts down and goes to room temp. I think I may have one of the defective fans as anyway. need to do some more testing over the weekend and wait for a friend to come back to me to make a comparison.

Anyone else have this?

Xbox One X in instant on mode has fan running

Hello,

when my xbox one x is shutdown, using instant on mode, the fan stays running. Eventually it may turn off. The xbox is well ventilated, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

I usually use full shutdown mode, but last night I left it in instant on mode as it was downloading games. At 11:30am the fan was still running. I checked and nothing was downloading.

Any advise welcome.

Power supply buzzing noise

My power supply has a very annoying buzzing noise when my Xbox One is set to instant on.

I believe there is a fan inside the power supply and that is where the buzzing is coming from. Why don't the fan turn off when the Xbox is turned off/in standby (in instant on mode).

This is very annoying and I am not able to use instant on mode.

Will this be fixed?

 

I have the same too and also the unit is warm to touch

 

Now it seems to be working. once booting from a full shutdown and then the turn off to instant mode the fan stays on. if I boot it from instant on mode and then turn it off the fan shuts down after a few seconds. weird.

only thing I did different was use the power lead from my PS4 (standard). its now back in its place in in the entertainment unit (not and enclosed with and has plenty of space for heat dissipation) and using the power lead from my S which is connected to
a 6 gang extension (don't have a choice here)

 

and nope, was still doing it intermittently. also I found it had a noisy fan. I took my scorpio console back for a refund and bought a standard on elsewhere. fan noise is now so much better

 

I have exaclly the same problem. Today the fan was working for about 15 minutes after turning xbox off. It would be nice to know if this is normal or some issue with a power brick.

 

And one more thing. I'm using energy safe mode.
