    Xbox Won’t Pick Up Mic


    My box won’t pick up my mic, I’m not com banned, it tells me to go to device settings but that doesn’t help, it’s not the headset because it works on my phone and other controller on other Xbox’s, it’s not the controller it my Xbox. When it cant pick it
    up it tells me to go to privacy setting which is... usless. Nothing on the internet works. My Xbox has been faulty like this for 8 mouths outta the 13 ive ha don’t it for, so it’s unreturnable. Won’t even let my disc games work.

    One of the problems could be the controller try using ur brothers or a spare controller u may have because there could be a problem with the controller there have been problems were people have been taking the adapter out and the prongs inside the controller
    have been bending or braking another option is try cleaning the inside of the controller and the adapter using a cotton swob or ear swab. The other problem may be there might be an issue with the ban it may not have been progressed through and it might just
    been taking a while if u have a pad with a 3.5mm adapter try using a pair of samsung earphones as for they work in the xbox controller and iphone ones do not.

    No the headset picks up too much so if someone speaks on headset the mic will pick it up.

    it picks up so much that it can pickup the air brushing across the mic when i turn

    Sorry to hear about the issues with your headset!

    To be sure, are you seeing the same issues with another headset and on other controllers?

    If you test another console or another headset on your network do you see the exact same issue?

    Also, is your console wired or wirelessly connected to your network?

    Post back if you are still having issues and let us know how those tests go!
