xbox won’t let me use my mic

If your subscription is active, the next step would be to check your Xbox privacy settings. Sometimes, changes in your network settings can cause your privacy settings to reset. To check your privacy settings, follow these steps:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Go to System > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety.

3. Select Xbox Live privacy.

4. Check that the "Communicate with voice and text" option is set to "Allow".



If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can try resetting your Xbox console. To do this, follow these steps:



1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

2. Go to System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Choose the "Reset and keeps games and apps" option.



Please note that resetting your console will erase all data and settings, so make sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

Try using the mic on another device to see if it works.
