    Xbox won't let me reconnect to my Internet, says security protocol won't work


    Yesterday, I took my xbox from my house to my friends and then back to mine. Didn't disconnect from my Internet or anything, didn't connect to theirs, just took it over for about 12 hours then brought it back home. It was connected fine and had been for about 7 months prior to my current network. Today I went to reset it up at my house, but was hit with "Your Security Protocol won't work, and saying that while the console only supports WPA2/3 (personal) my Internet router is not one of those. However, I know this isnt true as when I check my Internet, its a WPA3-Personal. Ive tried:

    -Power Cycling Xbox/Router

    -MAC address change

    -Forgetting Network

    -Full Factory reset on the xbox

    -Connecting Xbox to WiFi via xbox mobile app

    And nothing has worked. I'm really at a loss here, I know it's not my router, every other device is fine. Am I just out of luck?? Any assistance would be nice, as I'm truly at a loss here. Thanks

    Hi Blakeyboii! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    You are using a different protocol, as i understand you have it set like this

    WPA2/WPA3 Personal as your security.
    WPA3 option in the “Version” setting.

    But you should set it with WPA2 as the version settings to be compatible

    Wpa2 psk is supported not enterprise but not wpa 3

    No console supports wpa3

    Only pc and phones and tablets devices support it

    Consoles don't really need enterprise grade encryption

    You will have to wait for brooklin to see if it will be supported atm no console supports it
