    Xbox won’t let me play games all the sudden


    I’m playing games on my friends account as I have done hundreds of times with his permission, I was playing about an hour ago and decided to login because he was off-line and at work. Xbox will not launch any of his games or my games and keeps saying that the account is actively playing a game as if he is online when he is off-line and at his job. I’ve restarted the consul twice and I’m hoping it’ll just fix itself at this point.

    Additional info: sometimes I can get games to work for up to a minute or two, but then the menu saying that he started playing somewhere else pops up and closes the game, if I select play here instead and end the other session it goes to relaunch the game for a few seconds and then it pops up again saying he started playing somewhere else

    I figured mine out, it was the fact I preordered it and didn’t know they charged a few days before the game actually comes out and I had got a new card so it got declined

    Usually if it is saying that then you need to fix your home xbox settings to whatever profile bought the game.

    Sign into the profile that owns said game > go to xbox settings > general > personalization > then click "my home xbox" with whatever profile bought the game.
