My Xbox suddenly won’t launch any of my streaming apps. It was literally fine yesterday now all of a sudden Hulu, Netflix, Crunchyroll won’t load. This is a brand new Xbox. I had to buy because I was having the same problem with the old one. it wasn’t until I made a new Xbox account did the new one start allowing me to stream my apps.

    :)

Xbox won’t launch my streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Crunchyroll)

    Hi Alana!

What exactly is your new Xbox console model?
Do you get any error message or error code when you try to launch those streaming apps?

To confirm, are you able to access or launch those apps with a new account?

With your old or main account, try to remove it then power cycle your console before adding it back.

Note: Before doing these steps, please make sure that you know exactly the email address that was linked to your gamertag and the password to it so you can add the correct account again.

    1. Remove account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm. When you're finished, select Close.

    2. Power cycle:
Press and hold the Xbox power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.

    3. Add account:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select your gamerpic in the upper-left corner of the screen, move all the way down and select Add new.

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.

Netflix is not working on Xbox 1s

After the suggested restart and remove and reinstall try checking to see if the Netflix app is down. Hulu and Netflix sometimes have load issues based on the device it is being launched on from the streaming services not xbox.

    Funimation App isn’t working

Netflix works fine, crunchyroll and funimationNOW will not stream but the app loads and menu system works, just no streaming. I have redownloaded both apps

    Audio crackles when watching Crunchyroll

Thanks for the additional information. Have you tested your other apps or streaming apps like YouTube, Netflix, etc. if they have the same issue?

If it's specific to Crunchyroll app only then the problem is with their app that needs optimization or bug fix.

    xbox music

You still need an Xbox Music Pass to stream music with the Xbox Music app. Similar in the way you need a subscription to Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc. to use those apps.
