    Xbox won’t honor Elite Series 2 warranty


    Elite Series 2 controller randomly shuts off and Xbox won’t honor warranty even though I had Walmart reprint the receipt. They say it doesn’t meet all the requirements and now I can’t get a call back or a response from the technician dealing with my issue. Controller is only 6 months old. How can I get in touch with a human if I can’t get a call back? I have been trying for days and it says I will receive a call within 1 minute but I never get a call. I thought it was registered to my account but when I started having this issue, I checked and apparently it was never registered but I have the proof of purchase that Walmart gave me and they won’t accept it. What do I do?

    Hi George,

    As stated in my post, I have tried to claim warranty but the proof of purchase I uploaded that Walmart printed for me, they say does not meet all the requirements. I’m not sure what requirements they’re saying it doesn’t meet as I can’t get a reply but it is what Walmart printed for me.

    Warranties cover a like for like replacement if required under that warranty so as far as I know, yes, if you send an Elite series 2 in for replacement you will receive an Elite series 2 back.

    They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help
