    Xbox won't connect to my Wi-fi since last week!


    My xbox had no problem connecting to my home's wifi ever since I got it, but after I disconnected it recently when I went over to someone else's home, I couldn't re-connect it to my wifi and I have tried, and I mean it when I say this EVERYTHING

    - Restarted xbox many times

    - unplugged xbox

    - moved xbox to 5 ft away from router

    - unplugged router

    - restarted router

    - changed wifi password

    - cleared mac address on xbox

    NOTHING HAS WORKED, I have had to use my phone's hotspot for the past week and let me tell you the amount of server disconnects you get when playing online games with a hotspot is staggering, so please if anyone can help, help!

    So are you using your internal wi-fi or your hooked up to your laptop to connect? If there is a webpage to use then the internal wi-fi adapter won't be able to do that as that xbox cannot access webpages

    If the Wi-Fi was working fine before the Power Cut and not afterwards, then it sounds like something got damaged. Do other devices connect to the Wi-Fi okay? Is it just the Xbox you are having problems with? If it's only the Xbox, then it could be the Xbox got damaged (although they have built-in surge protection, nothing is ever 100% guaranteed)...best way to test it would be to take the Xbox to a friend, neighbour, family member's house and try connecting it to their Wi-Fi.

    If other devices also can't connect, then it's the router and that will probably need replacing.

    You might need a new Wi-Fi board or it m8gut the wire might not be in the connector all the way. I had the same problem last week and found out that the wire wasn't in all the way. If you got to replace it then go to ifixit website and it was 29.99 when
    I seen it on there. The Wi-Fi board connects everything that is wireless.
