so I bought a 12 month card and put it on my account by using my phone because my xbox wont connect or register that the Wi-Fi is there I reset the router and the xbox twice and my xbox still wont connect. So idk what to do

Xbox won't connect to internet

Try opening up Edge and browsing the internet on the Xbox, this should add your xbox to the router and allow it to access the internet.

Xbox won't connect to internet

I live in a school and use it's internet, the School's has a wifi filter/blocker which I need to sign into with a username and password as well as the normal internet password. On my computer or iPad when using the internet a screen pops up with the option
to sign into the filer (called fortiguard) which I sign into using my username and password but the Xbox one doesn't give this option. It simply asks for my internet password and than says it it can't connect

Heya!

If you are having issues getting that to sync with a wireless connection we suggest setting up a wired connection at least until the profile is activated properly.

Let's also have you test that connection with the troubleshooter for
network connections.

Once you are reconnected to Live, let's have you
remove your profile and
power cycle the console to be sure that your account is synced.

My internet in the house works fine on everything except my xbox, it won't connect to the internet i have tried everything on the site, could it be that my xbox is broken? it picks up the network I'm trying to connect but won't connect

The Xbox is connect to the network, and the network is connected to the internet, but the internet won't connect to Xbox Live. I have tried both the USB and the CD/DVD but neither of them are working

You will need to determine the error messages you are getting from either the network connection or the multiplayer connection by doing the steps below.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings.

Select General.

Select Network.

Select Network settings. Any known outages will appear in the middle of the screen.

On the right side of the Network

Please test both the network connection and the multiplayer connection.
