Xbox wireless receiver shuts down when connecting a second controller

I have 2 identical xbox one controllers and a usb wireless receiver.

Both controllers work perfectlly when using only one of them, but when I try connecting a second controller to the usb wireless receiver, both of the controllers seems to connect (both controllers stop blinking and stay with the xbox logo light on) for a few seconds (like 5 seconds) and then both the controllers and the wireless receiver shut down.

It seems like the wireless receiver just won't work when I try connecting a second controller. What can I do?

    Thank you.

    :)

Xbox wireless receiver shuts down when connecting a second controller

Hey. I bought a usb cable and updated both controllers, but it's still not working.

Now it seems that the controllers are connecting and disconnecting by themselves, with the wireless receiver also turning on and off.

In Xbox Acessories no controller is showing up at any time while the controllers do this.

    Xbox one Disconnects from internet.

Are you connected wired or wireless? If wireless try an ethernet connection to see if that helps. Otherwise try power cycling your console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down

    Hi Guido,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on controller. Unfortunately, with it wireless there is no option to stop the idle shut down. You can however connect the controller via cable and it will not shut down.

    Thanks,

    Brad

problem with the xbox one controller

    Hi

Please try a hard reset on the console to do this press and power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds once the console has shut down unplug the console from the wall outlet for 2 minutes then plug everything back in and power up the console.
Hopefully the console will now work.

If this does not work please try and re sync the controller to the console.
