    Hi,

    I just got a new (2020/series X edition) xbox controller + wireless receiver. However, when I plug the receiver into my pc, it doesn't install any drivers. Going into device manager and manually doing 'search automatically for drivers' doesn't yield a positive
    result, just 'there are no drivers for this device'.

    Does anyone know where I can find the drivers for this product?..

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There is an article entitled

    Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows     which provides troubleshooting steps for the adapter. It is possible that Windows 10 needs an update for the receiver to function. The article entitled

    How to Get Software and Driver Updates for Windows 10     will provide steps on how to complete that process. We recommend using the gaming receiver article's troubleshooting steps first. Be sure to let us know the results!

    Gamepad detection problem

    One thing to try is to rollback the drivers for your wireless receiver. If that still doesn't fix it, try completely removing the drivers and receiver, then plugging it back in and letting Windows automatically find the driver. I know when I plugged my receiver
    into my Windows 7 x64 laptop for the first time, it found the drivers by itself and has been working fine ever since.

    I have the same problem as NLC PoKeR, and I'm already using Windows 8.1. Mister Fizzle's suggestions didn't work for me.

    For the first and third suggestions, the "list of drivers" only shows one option, "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit". "Installing" it doesn't make any difference.

    The second suggestion doesn't apply, since I don't have a wireless receiver.

    Is it possible that support for the Play & Charge Kit is outright broken in Windows 8, and that I need to buy a wireless receiver or a wired controller instead?
