    Xbox Wireless headset won’t turn off and keeps turning my Xbox on.


    I’ve never had this problem before, but the same day I update my Xbox wireless headset, I am not able to turn it off. I tried turning it off after playin for a while and the light stayed on but the audio disconnected. I also tried turning off the Xbox Series X and it immediately turns back on. The headset won’t reconnect either even when plugged in. Does anyone have a solution to this? Only thing I can think of is wait for the headset to die and go from there.

    Hello Robert, may have been something that went wrong in firmware update, if you did the update by the console, try to do the update by PC, with it connected with the USB cable.

    Use the Xbox Accessories App to update firmware again, and then try turning it off

    Also just updated my pc in case and still no joy. Comes up in device manager as Xbox peripheral but says it’s all up to date. Having no joy and just want to use them

    I just tried this, it doesn’t pick it up. It started charging when connected. If I hold the power button down it makes the on noise and then it flickers white, makes the pairing noise once, and once more quickly then turns off
