Xbox Wireless Headset: whine noise after firmware update

There are several steps in Troubleshoot xbox wireless headset that may assist you.

If you connect the headset to your controller, make sure you Update xbox wireless controller to the latest firmware. All controllers you use need to run the firmware update. I prefer the uSB method.

I have 2 Xbox One's, the forst is Kinectless version, second is Titanfall bundle with Kinect, both with coil whine pre-update (secon unit less severe). After update, coil whine is gone on the kinectless unit, but still the same on Titanfall bundle. However,
the kinectless One got the horrible disc drive noise, same as DimaK67. Noise will gone after 20 minutes , but is very irritating, specially with Blu-ray discs.

If you are using the Xbox Chat Headset, be sure it is connected to the controller when performing the firmware update. In addition, check for Xbox system updates.

I suggest you to update the headset firmware following this instructions:

Update your Xbox Wireless Controller

Be sure the headset is plugged to the controller when perform the update.

I use the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Wireless headset and I had issues awhile back where it wasn't staying connected with my XBOX. I went to the Turtle Beach website https://www.turtlebeach.com/ and downloaded an app that goes on your PC where you can update
the firmware for the headset. After I realized my firmware was out of date, used the app, my headset works perfectly. Give that a try.
