Xbox Wireless Headset Mixed Dial Issue

I purchased the new Xbox Wireless Headset just a couple of months back, however recently I’ve begun to come across this issue which is affecting the mixer dial.

When I launch the headset, it will automatically set the mixer to the the highest volume on the party chat, rather than remain in a neutral position, as indicated by the headset. In the case it does launch correctly in the neutral position, over time the console will push the volume once again up to the party chat making it near impossible to hear any game audio.

Is anybody else having this issue?

Which headset is it? Some headsets plugged into the controller don't have changeable party mix settings...my Arctis 7 headset doesn't, although it does have it's own chat/game mix dial so it's not an issue

I see. I recommend ordering a replacement if your headset is still under warranty.

I have made sure the console and the headset are both fully updated. I have hard reset both the console and the headset. I have unpaired and repaired the headset and I've tried factory resetting the console but the headphones still stop working properly after a while and I still have to turn them off and on again to work.

Have you checked if the headset needs updating?

And maybe resetting the console can help resolve that.

Reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required. Do not reset without having your account email and password

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console
