Xbox wireless headset mic broken no support available near me

Ealier today I was about to engage in some gaming with friends and picked up my headset, placing the headset on I went to adjust the mic from its tucked up position. Upon doing so the mic did not feel right so I took the headset off and noticed a crack in the mic casing next to the mute button.

I have not dropped the headset nor have I moved the mic in such a way this would cause any issue, I always make the same movement and place the mic back resting in its usual position when not in use.

It seems plenty of others are having the same issue in the same place so seems to be a defect in the manufacturing/material.

I have tried to contact support but unfortunately the online route says there is no service available in my area(UK) and the phone service say they cannot help. I've asked for it to be escalated and tried to reference the above post but to no avail.

As I paid via CC I do have other options but wouldn't like to take this route as if I'm honest I really like this headset so would really prefer to have them repaired if at all possible.

If anyone or a support agent could assist me in a repair or other solution that would be great.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately I have already tried this route and I'm unable to continue with a replacement. When completing the form as it states physical damage I cannot continue with the online return.

I understand. In this case, you would need to search for a local repair shop if available, since your headset is not eligible for a replacement from Microsoft.

The "mic" you're referring to is the boom mic that plugs into the headset.

The mic I'm referring to is the chat system that allows one to talk to other players. Normally, that's supported by a wired mic cable that goes from the 360 controller to other headsets. On all other 360 headsets, a cable is required from the base of the
360 controller to the headset for chat. Even the wireless Astro A50 has a mic cable port to go to the 360 controller.

On the Tritton Warhead, that's all done wirelessly, same as the Microsoft Wireless Mic for 360 works. Tritton integrated the wireless mic into the headset base unit so that the headset can be completely wireless - no wired mic cable going to the controller.

It's the wired mic cable that the Tritton Warhead lacks that is the problem. There will be no way for the Warhead's base unit to sync its wireless mic with the Xbox One.

If all you want to do is use the Warhead as a wireless headset without a mic, it will be fine. If you want mic support, it won't.

There is only one completely wireless headset for the 360, the
Tritton Warhead. The Warhead includes wireless sync ability with a 360 console (same as a 360 wireless mic), allowing it to be completely wireless. All other headsets use a cable from the controller to the headset to provide mic support.
