xbox wireless headset firmware update 0.0.9.50

sadly I think these headsets are just not very good. I always get my hopes up a firmware update will make this headset usable, but every time I'm let down, this update is no different, audio issues remain. I bought the wireless adapter for windows and that lessened the frequency of cutouts vs bluetooth, but I still get cutouts and crackling/distortion on multiple PCs using the adapter.

Unfortunately Microsoft does not publish release notes for each headset firmware release as it does for the console versions.

There are several steps in Troubleshoot xbox wireless headset that may assist you.

If you connect the headset to your controller, make sure you Update xbox wireless controller to the latest firmware. All controllers you use need to run the firmware update. I prefer the uSB method.

Be sure the headset is plugged to the controller when perform the update.

I would try to update the firmware of the headset if it is wireless(i had a stealth 700 turtle beach and all you have to do is look up firmware update on their website and connect the headset to the computer via USB). If that doesn't work i would try using
a Microsoft headset adapter.
